It is with great joy and pleasure that I warmly welcome you to the Veterinary Wealth Savings and Credit Cooperative Ltd (VWS).

Registration of interested members began in January 2012 , following a resolution passed during the Uganda Veterinary Association (UVA) Annual General Meeting. This marked the beginning of our formal registration process. In 2015, we achieved a significant milestone when the SACCO was permanently registered under Section 6(2) of the Cooperative Societies Act, Cap 112, receiving Certificate No. 10723/RCS.

VWS was founded with a clear and noble purpose — to mobilize financial resources that would serve as an affordable and accessible source of capital for our members. Our aim has always been to empower veterinary professionals to invest in meaningful, profitable ventures that contribute to their personal growth and economic stability.

Our SACCO is governed by a dedicated Board elected every four years during the Annual General Meeting. This structure ensures accountability and adherence to established policies and procedures. Thanks to your trust and commitment, our membership has steadily grown to 259 members — and we are delighted to welcome more professionals who share in our vision.

As we continue to build a resilient and member-focused institution, I encourage all members to take full advantage of the opportunities that VWS offers. Together, we can create lasting financial impact, not only for ourselves but for the broader veterinary community and beyond.
